“When we (returned) I started pandanus basket work, and the airport - I helped make the airport. My husband made shovel raised spears (for hunting), and I made pandanus baskets. Then later I taught those young children. “Here you do this, this is your work, keep doing this (pandanus) work.” I was pleased and the land grew with that work, Balanda learnt about my pandanus work, they saw my work and are coming this way, to meet me. We settled here permanently, and our Homeland grew. As the children grew up, they realised what we have made for them. We settled here for good (on our Land). We will not go away (from this Land).”
